The SIBM Pune family meets in the last week of every month, to celebrate the birthdays of all those family members whose special day falls in that month… a new practice we have introduced, since the last 3 months, and which we all enjoy and look forward to!!

Today we celebrated the birthdays of a whopping 10 of us… 😀!! And coincidentally, all were male 😀!! One very good thing we all have noticed is how relaxed we are for that short period of time! One of the “rules” 😉 is that the Birthday boys or girls must deliver one performance…. be it a song, or a dance, or even telling a joke… it is so nice to see people who are normally so shy and hesitant, come out and perform so comfortably.. it is a sure sign that all know that whatever they do, they will be genuinely appreciated for their efforts! And, surprisingly, we have discovered many hidden talents amongst us!

This is the kind of environment that SIBM Pune has, a caring, and supportive one, which includes all our students as well… as we say, this is also a home away from home for them, and when the teaching learning happens in a “family” environment, it not only stays with you better, but helps increase and cement the bond between one and the Institute!

I really appreciate the efforts our admin staff takes to organize these special days… and I suppose one could call this, the live enactment of the Symbiosis motto of “Vasudeiva Kutumbakkam”… the World is One Family!!
