Immediately on return from Delhi, I had the privilege of virtually inaugurating a workshop, being conducted by two of dynamic faculty members, Dr Deepika Pandita and Dr. Vimal Bhatt….

This workshop was an integral part of the ICSSR-sponsored Short-Term Empirical Research Project titled “From Policy to Practice: Analyzing the Reach and Socio-Economic Impact of the Year of Millets Scheme 2023”, led by the Project Director – Dr. Vimal Bhatt and Co- Project Director Dr Deepika Pandita.

This workshop aimed to increase awareness of the International Year of Millets 2023 and its initiatives executed by the central and state governments in the region of Maharashtra among several stakeholders, such as farmers, entrepreneurs, consumers, and intermediaries like FPOs.

Through this workshop, the participants, who were farmers, the Sarpanch of the Village, and members of the local FPO, gained valuable insights through engaging presentations and interactive sessions by our faculty members… apart from the insightful research being conducted through this ICSSR grant, our endeavor was to try and improve the lives of our farmer brothers and sisters… hopefully, SIBM will be able to contribute to this!

And of course, the long awaited merit lists for both our programs, MBA Core and MBA ( Innovation and Entrepreneurship) were declared this afternoon, right on schedule….. our phones had been ringing non stop since morning, asking about the same… but now they have been declared, and our Heartiest Congratulations to those who have made it to the 1st Merit list… For those who have not, and figure in the waitlist, the 2nd lists will be released on the 19th of next month… we are looking forward to the best minds joining us for the Batch of 2024-26!!
