Was absolutely privileged to be a part of the book launch of the book, “Swallowing the Sun” written by former Ambassador Laxmi Murudeshwar Puri, IFS. Ambassador Puri has been a career diplomat with 28 years of service, out of which 15 were with the United Nations, most recently as Assistant Secretary General. The book was released at the hands of our Hon’ble Chancellor, Dr. S.B. Mujumdar Sir.

Also present were former Ambassador Shyamala B. Cowsik, IFS, and Ms. Indira Murudeshwar Bhargava, former Chairperson, Central Board of Direct Taxes ( CBDT ) and of course, our Hon’ble Pro Chancellor, Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar. The book which, though a novel, showcases Gender Equality, and Women’s Empowerment, was released at the correct moment, just before Women’s Day on the 8th.. a day which Symbiosis will also be celebrating as “Womanifest” it promises to be a fun day for all our lady staff!!

And the week has started in a as usual hectic way… and it promises to end that way too.. packed with a whole lot of things that I shall keep sharing from time to time!
