“Think big, believe big, act big and the results will automatically be big “

I had come across this lovely quote during my school days and it somehow left a deep impression upon my thoughts. Completing my graduation in engineering from one of the best private engineering colleges in West Bengal I had three offers from MNCs. I decided to choose one of them and was working with them for last 2.5 years. It was only after a year that I realized that I had a lot to learn and explore more to climb up the ladder. Looking and interacting with senior managers made me realize the difference between me and them. An MBA course from a top premiere B school can be a perfect filler to groom me at the required areas. I preferred to learn and then practice than practice and learn. I was already doing well in the work place when I started preparing for MBA entrance exams. It was really tough to balance work and preparation but I recollect a quote

” When the going gets tough, the tough get going “

Eventually I appeared for SNAP 2014 exam and cleared the written test with flying colors. SIBM-P was my first choice and I was successful to convert it. A massive amount of satisfaction prevailed upon me on cracking one of the best B schools not only in Pune but across India. I was already aware of the number of accolades this institute keeps receiving from prestigious surveys. It was during the interview when my desire and craze for the institute magnified seeing a glimpse of the serene campus. The interaction with the seniors started on social networks. The ART did a fantastic job of assimilating us together in a common platform to interact. They kept us engaged with small activities and this was real fun. We were bombarded with some pre-induction study materials which in filtered a feeling of the SIBM standards and delicacy.

Finally our pre-induction week started with a motivating lecture by our Director followed by all other dignitaries present on the stage. We were heartily welcomed to the Symbiosis family.

We had creative ice breaking sessions with our classmates in presence of faculty members. We were divided in groups and the next day was followed with talent and entertainment competition. We only had an evening to prepare for this. We were efficient enough to grab the second prize in the talent round and it was real fun watching all of us perform the first time at SIBM. The informative lectures from Alumni highlighted us on the SIBM brand and their work experience in their respective specialization. Listening to them was a pleasure and every moment I dreamt that this could be my future few years down the line. I understood that I was privileged enough to be a part of SIBM and the Symbiosis International University.

Exploring the campus during the first week made me drool over it. The changing color of the sky, the passing clouds, the fresh breeze, the drizzle, lush green playground, the magnificent amphitheatre and the different recreational facilities confused me on how to spend my leisure time out here. But would there be time for leisure here? One cannot ask for a better place for learning. I am sure I have a lot to learn and explore out here in this Eden.

Most of the faculty members are so qualified and experienced that they share the perfect blend of knowledge with its applications while teaching. I take the pride of getting this opportunity to be a part of their inspiring and informative lectures. With time I am sure SIBM and its team will elevate us to prosper in future as a successful individual or employee. I will be fortunate enough to become a part of its illustrious Alumni network. I believe to have taken the perfect decision to be a part of this prestigious college and university and I am sure I would cherish it in future.

Time has come now to participate and interact with seniors. I am looking forward to have a wonderful and exciting experience ahead.
