It was wonderful to meet Dr Rakesh Pati, Senior Lecturer and Deputy Director of WERA, ( Women’s Entrepreneurship Research Alliance ) a collaboration between Deakin University, Australia and Symbiosis International University, with funding from the Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research collaboration, an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for a project on women entrepreneurs in India…..

We had a wonderful discussion on how we can further collaborate, inter alia, in the field of research and publications… hope to carry this association further!

Today was day 7 of our GEPI process… 3 more to go!! I’m looking forward to concluding the same on a high note! In my interactions with the candidates, quite a few have expressed their pleasant surprise at the performance in Placements of our students… especially considering that a fair number of very well-known B Schools have found the going tough… but full credit to our intrepid Placements Team ( PAT ), which has done such a great job!

Actually all our councils have done great work… what I have seen since the time I came here… just over 3 months….. first PAT, then Co- Curricular ( Co-C ), now Aspirant Relations ( ART ), then it will be Alumni…. actually all the 9 Councils and 7 Special Interest Groups ( SIGs ) have been taking up some activity or the other, and very successfully too… I think I may need a separate post for each of them!! True indication of a student driven culture, which does not come up overnight… but it does take decades to evolve!!
