Centered around the topic of “Services in IT”, SIBM Pune was glad to host Ms. Uma Iyer, Former Associate Director, IBM India Private Ltd. and our alumnus from the Batch of 1984, for an industry expert session on Service Operations Management organized by Deputy Director, Dr. V V Ravi Kumar.

The service industry in India has been growing at a rapid pace and the role of IT has been instrumental in its growth. Through various case based exercises Ms. Iyer encouraged the students to come up with various ideas for combating the emerging trends and technological disruptions that are taking place in the Information Technology landscape.
