The University Grants Commission (UGC) of India had announced in the year 2024, that universities can admit students twice a year from the 2024-25 academic year.

This change was intended to increase student motivation and enrollment. The benefits of biannual admissions are expected to be:
Flexibility: Students who miss an admission cycle can start their course sooner.
Motivation: Students are less likely to lose interest if they don’t have to wait a full year to start their course.
International collaboration: India can attract more international students and become a global study destination.
Resource utilization: Universities can use resources more efficiently.

Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune accordingly requested SYMBIOSIS INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY to permit us to start this for our MBA ( Executive ) program. This was very kindly permitted by our Pro Chancellor Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar Mam and our Vice Chancellor Dr Ramakrishnan Raman, and duly approved by the University.

It gives me great pleasure to inform that we started the 1st January batch of the MBA ( Executive ) program today, being the first in SIU to do so! I would like to compliment Dr.Poornima Tapas, Program In Charge of the MBA ( Executive ) stream, for all her efforts in making this happen, and ensure that SIBM Pune delivers what it promises!! I am sure we will be able to do justice to all the students of this cohort !!
