SIBM Pune has witnessed a sharp rise in average salary – MBA placements 2019

Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Pune, consistently ranked among the Top B-Schools in India, witnessed yet another year of stellar placements with top companies participating in the placement process and offering coveted roles across the sectors to the 2017-19 batch of MBA students. Since its inception in 1978, SIBM Pune has grown multi-fold by setting higher benchmarks each year.

Placement 2019 at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune has concluded on a high note for the MBA 2017-19 batch. SIBM Pune has witnessed a *sharp rise in average salary to Rs.17.48 Lakhs in Placement 2019 from Rs.16.23 lakhs last year* while 62 students accepted PPOs offered to them

A total of over 180 students participated in the Campus Recruitment Programme this year and got 192 offers from 83 recruiters.

Breaking all records this year, SIBM Pune students emerged as International Runners up in RB Global Challenge 2018, National Winners in Abbott Business Challenge, ABG Headstart, Asian Paints Canvas, Airtel iCreate, Colgate Transcend, Godrej LOUD, HUL LIME, Reliance Jio Social AV, Dabur VOLVO; National finalists in HUL Carpe Diem, Marico Over the Wall, Nestle Ingenium, Nestle 4Ps Challenger, Reliance The Ultimate Pitch, Samsung EDGE, TATA Steel-a-Thon, Titan Elevate, TATA Mindrover, PepsiCo Change the Game and YES Bank Transformation Series.
SIBM Pune students were also National Qualifiers in P&G CEO Challenge 2018.

The placement season saw a healthy mix of legacy and new recruiters who were impressed with the student caliber and were delighted to be associated with the institution. The undivided faith shown by the corporates, supported by the quality of the batch has been a major reason for the success of the final placements.

A diverse mix of student profiles- a uniform distribution between freshers and people with work experience (ranging from 8 months to 60 months) ensured a splendid match between employers and students. Student background was heterogeneous- manufacturing, IT and consulting among other varied prior experiences.

The recruiters made 192 offers thereby ensuring a 100% placement.

The average CTC for top 50 students stood at 23.76 LPA and average CTC for top 100 students at INR 20.53 LPA. The median CTC clocked at INR 16.25 LPA.

SIBM Pune proudly hosted 28 new recruiters like Barclays PLC, Google India, IDFC Bank, Mahindra Comviva, Mindtree Limited, Reckitt Benckiser, Trafigura Global Services Pvt. Ltd., Vodafone Shared Services, Walmart India Pvt. Ltd. to name a few.

Our regular recruiters such as Asian Paints, Bajaj, Godrej, ICICI Bank, ITC, L&T, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maersk, Pidilite, Piramal, TATA, Wipro reinforced their trust and faith in SIBM Pune.

The course pedagogy in line with industry trends and regular visits of eminent faculty from Harvard Business School, Dean Bothell School of Business etc. provided students with wholesome learning. SIBM Pune also organized regular industry and factory visits for its students to ITC, Cummins etc which culminated in students going beyond their classroom teachings.

36% of total participants were females who have grabbed top offers from companies like Accenture Capability Network, Bajaj Finserv Limited, Google India, Shell India Markets Private Limited among others.
