TATA Motors Plant Visit
The stude
nts of the Operations batch of 2016-18 at SIBM, Pune were taken to an industry visit at Tata Motors on 20 December 2016 by Opcellence – the Special Interest Group of Operations.
After a warm welcome over a cup of coffee and souvenirs, we were shown a presentation that took us through the journey of Tata as an organization and it’s growth to this mega-conglomerate that it is.
This was followed by a brief question and answer session in which our basic doubts pertaining to the organization were clarified.
We were then taken on a tour of the entire plant where elaborate explanations on the production of the vehicles were given.

Then the awe-inspiring assembly plant of the Jaguar Land Rover was shown post which we were taken to the Managing Director’s guest house area in a sprawling location.
At the end of the tour, a photo session with Mr. Ram Hundalikar took place and all the students returned to the campus.
