SIBM Pune Wins TiE International Startup Competition – Pune Round
TiE is a non-profit, global community welcoming entrepreneurs from all over the world. TiE was created in 1992 by a group of successful entrepreneurs and is currently the world’s largest entrepreneurial organization.
The TiE International Startup Competition (TISC) provides students with the opportunity to pitch to top investors and VC groups from around the world.
The Pune round of TISC was held on 30th November, 2017. Two students from SIBM Pune’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship course secured the first and the runners-up prize.
Manan Jambusaria won the first prize for his startup, ‘Ignite’, which aims to provide non-contemporary forms of education in existing schools. The runner-up, Ankit Taneja, won for his business idea, ProFit, which is a subscription-based tech startup.
TiE Pune will provide both the teams with mentoring for a month to help them prepare for the All Asia round at TISC, in Delhi.
