SIBM Pune gets a financial grant under RITES CSR Plan 2016-17
I am delighted to share with you that SIBM Pune’s project proposal titled “Promote cashless transaction through various digital payment modes in villages located near Symbiosis International University” has been given a financial grant of Rs.10 lakhs under RITES CSR Plan 2016-17.
RITES Ltd., a Government of India Enterprise was established in 1974, under the aegis of Indian Railways. RITES is incorporated in India as a Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, 1956 and is governed by a Board of Directors which includes persons of eminence from various sectors of engineering and management. RITES Ltd., an ISO 9001:2008 company, is a multi-disciplinary consultancy organization in the fields of transport, infrastructure and related technologies.
The project will be executed by the Social Entrepreneurship and consulting cell a student cell of SIBM Pune. This project will be executed through the initiative called ‘Prerna’.
Prerna – an initiative by Inspiring Change: Prerna is an initiative aimed at spreading knowledge and instill in people a passion to learn. This year, taking into consideration the prevailing economic conditions in the country, the aim is to increase awareness by conducting sessions on cashless transactions among the rural population of Pune. Thanks to the project funding by RITES, SECC through Prerna will help government of India in a very small way to promote cashless transaction through various digital payment modes.
