SIBM Pune successfully concluded Senate 2022 – Flagship Management Conclave on the theme – Total Leadership: The Journey from Good to Great, organized by the Corporate Interface Team, SIBM Pune.
We are delighted to have hosted Mr. Praveen Gandhi, Group Head – Total Rewards, HR Policy & Process, RPG for the Keynote Address, who shared valuable insights on the topic of Shaping Instincts: The right sum of gut and data. Mr. Gandhi elucidated the topic leveraging a mix of anecdotes and experience, to deliver the true essence of the theme.
The address was followed by three Panel Discussions, each deep-diving into different aspects of what constitutes total leadership. The first panel comprised of Ms. Manasi Narasimhan, Vice President & Head, Marketing and Communications, South Asia at Mastercard, Mr. Roopank Chaudhary, Global Partner and Indian Chief Commercial Officer at AON, Ms. Shilpi Kapoor, Director Marketing, American Express, Mr. Saumil Mehta, Director and Country Manager, Kraft Heinz and Ms. Snigdha Bose, Associate Vice President, Planning at Taproot Dentsu. The engaging discussion shed light on how brands leverage experience in meeting and at times surpassing the expectations of their consumers. The Second Panel discussion elucidated the changing faces of Businesses and the different functions and roles in it and how adaptiveness and contact learning can prove to be a key differentiator. This thought-provoking discussion encapsulating the theme – The Business Concord: Looking at business models in a new way, included thought leaders including Ms. Richa Singh, Chief Financial Officer at Mars, Mr. Pankaj M Joshi, Sales Director at Beam Suntory, Raghuram Krishnan, Director Finance at Adobe, Mr. Jinu Jose, Vice President, RDS at IQVIA and Mr. Pankaj Jathar, Chief Executive Officer at Prione.
The final panel comprised of Ms. Shikha Singhal, Head- People Practices at Axtria, Mr. Satender K. Sighadia, Chief Human Resource Leader at FMC Corporation, Ms. Tania Chatterjee, Director HR – India Lead at NatWest Group and Mr. Atma Godara, Production HR at Netflix. The discussion revolved around the theme- C Suite Leadership: Creating shared culture in a distributed office. Rich with personal anecdotes and insightful conversation, the discussion covered ground on the transforming cultures, perspectives and priorities in businesses due to the onset of the Pandemic-induced challenges.
The confluence of the ideas and perspectives of industry stalwarts left the students with a bouquet of learning that will definitely reflect in their academic and professional journey ahead.
