Summer Placement 2017 @ SIBM Pune
SIBM Pune takes immense pride in announcing the successful completion of its Summer Internship Recruitment Programme 2017 for its 40th MBA Batch (2017-2019). The institute’s rich legacy of 39 years was bolstered by the presence of some of the biggest names in the corporate world for summer placements this year.
Testament to the consistently high benchmarks set by the students and alumni of SIBM Pune in the industry, more than 60 companies from diverse sectors visited campus for summer internship recruitment for various specializations (Marketing, HR, Finance, Operations). Our regular recruiters too widened their horizon to new specializations.
There was diversity in the domains represented namely FMCG, Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals, FMCD, BFSI, Automobiles, Information Technology & Services, Infrastructure, Consulting, and Manufacturing among others. Participating organizations offered roles across various functions like Marketing, General Management, Sales, Corporate Human Resources, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Operations, Supply Chain etc., culminating in a total of 192 offers being extended to the students.
The highest stipend offered was ₹3,00,000 for duration of two months bagged by 10% of the students appearing for summer placements. The average stipend on offer too reflected the ever-growing confidence of the industry in the institute as it rose to ₹1,46,130, resulting in an increment of 17% over the last year. The average stipend figures for the Top 50 offers was ₹2,43,600 and for Top 100 stood at ₹1,97,900. Of the total offers made, nearly 21% of the offers extended were ₹2,00,000 and above.
