“Tree Public Foundation” an NGO found by Abhishek Kawitkar an SIBM, Pune Alumni gets Environment Challenge Award !

Tree Public is a registered environment NGO methodically working towards a-forestation by way of macro scale Tree plantation in Pune. Their core focus is to work towards reducing the carbon footprints by way of planting native Indian trees like Neem, Peepal, Banyan (Vad), Umbar, Kashid, Tamarind etc. known for their properties of purifying the atmosphere and creating clean breathing air.

Tree Public ( http://treepublic.in/ )by now has planted and sustained 1,10,000 + Trees, created various biodiversity lakes and park across Pune & Maharashtra. TPF not only work on large scale a forestation but have archived all time high sustenance record in India i.e 90% survival of all the trees planted.

It gives me immense pleasure to inform you all that Tree Public Foundation has been bestowed upon a Global Award “Environment Challenge Award” 2015-16 for the relentless work in the field of Environment and Biodiversity Conservation. Abhishek Kawitkar who is an SIBM, Pune Alumni is the founder president at Tree Public Foundation.

Environment Challenge Award recognizes projects from across the globe, that positively impact the environment, engage community partners effectively and demonstrate impressive sustainable results. In recognition of outstanding efforts, the winning projects receive a financial grant of $ 10,000 payable to the community partner by Cummins India Foundation.
