Enriched @ SIBM, Pune
0.36%… This would probably be brushed aside as a rounding error in statistics but to us at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, this percentage is important because it’s the ratio of the number of students who got admission in SIBM, Pune, to the number of SNAP takers. Knowing this makes me feel pretty special.
The first thing that strikes you when you enter one of the best B-school’s of the country is the sheer beauty and magnificence of the campus. It is exhilarating and overwhelming at the same time. The downside of living in such a picturesque campus is that none of the pictures taken do it any justice!
Since the campus is shared among varied Institutes under the Symbiosis International University umbrella we get a unique opportunity to interact with students from different branches of Management Studies, which is a rare opportunity among the MBA Schools in India.
The 10-day long induction gave us a one-of-a-kind chance to assimilate and acquaint ourselves to one another, which would have been quite improbable had we dived straight into the classes. Not only did we get a chance to work with our peers on skits and talent rounds but also got a chance to showcase our talents and bring forth the social messages important to us. The other components of the induction included Industry visits and lectures from the owners of very innovative start-ups. The lectures by the SIBM, Pune alumni further drove home the point that we had made the right decision and also went a long way in helping us choose our specializations.
After a week of classes, I’ve realized that SIBM, Pune, approaches everything in a well-structured and methodical manner. Each aspect of the working day is well organised and any doubts or clarifications that we may have are addressed immediately by the ever approachable faculty and staff.
Amidst the extremely cooperative and enriched Symbiosis family, I have no doubts that I will test my limits and reach my true potential at SIBM, Pune.
