The Virtual Induction Program 2020 gave MBA Flagship and MBA Leadership & Strategy students an opportunity to attend a panel discussion with some of the senior alumni of SIBM Pune.

Ms. Sunaina Kuknor, Assistant Professor, SIBM Pune moderated the discussion comprising Mr. Jatin Panchal, Sales Director, Danone India, Mr. Anoop Kamat, Head – Talent Acquisition, Johnson & Johnson and Mr. Alex Joseph, Senior Manager – Human Resources, Amazon.

Mr. Panchal, is an SIBM Pune alumnus from Batch of 2002. He encouraged the students to strike a balance and build strong fundamentals to stay relevant. Mr. Kamat, from the Batch of 2003, urged the audience to imbibe a continuous learning mindset and be open to fungibility across specializations. Mr. Joseph, from the Batch of 2007, advised the students to focus on the right input metrics and using adversity to create opportunities.

During the second half of the day the panel included Ms. Neha Saxena Shenoy, Global HR Leader, Mr. Puncham Mukim, Managing Director, Everstone Group and Mr. Santosh Vellanki, Global Head – Talent Acquisition & Head of HR – Corporate Functions, UPL.

Ms. Shenoy, is an SIBM Pune alumna from the Batch of 2004, who encouraged the students to build their competencies and prepare themselves for paradox management by excelling in areas outside their comfort zone. Mr. Mukim, from the Batch of 2007, advised the students to have an entrepreneurial mindset and to develop a business perspective by knowing your domain through extensive reading. Mr. Vellanki, from the Batch of 2011, urged the students not to compartmentalize into specializations, be open to a cross-functional experience and to have an agile approach to challenges.
