SIBM Pune students pursuing first year MBA (Innovation and Entrepreneurship) visited Bhutan for 7 days with objective to know about Gross National Happiness Index and Carbon Negative Nation

The first year MBA(Innovation and Entrepreneurship) students SIBM Pune visited Bhutan for 7 days with objective to know about Gross National Happiness Index (GNH), Carbon Negative Nation. Prof. Yogesh Brahmankar, was the faculty member from SIBM Pune also accompanied the students. SIBM Pune students had an opportunity to learn as they were provided valuable guidance by the professors from Gedhu College Business Studies (GCBS) Bhutan.

SIBM students were also supported with buddy members from MBA programme of GCBS for getting in-depth insights about the culture and country. They also got opportunity to visit the biggest Hydro-Electric Power plant (1020 MW) in Bhutan (THP), The Greener Way at Thimpu which is a Waste management company and also had an opportunity interaction with Mr.Karma who is the CEO the company. They then visited the International Trade Fair at Thimpu and also had workshop on GNH by GCBS President Dr.Sonam Choiden

The students had a chance to know about preserving nature was it was an enriching experience for the group.
