Interaction with an alumnus of the 1993 batch of SIBM, Pune

Members of the Alumni Team along with the Student President of SIBM, Pune had the pleasant opportunity today, to meet Mr. Udaiyan Jatar, an alumnus of the 1993 batch. Mr. Jatar went on to work for Procter & Gamble and Coca-Cola where he became the youngest global Vice-President based out of Atlanta. Mr. Udaiyan Jatar is the founder & CEO of Blue Earth Network, an organization dedicated to helping change-makers create and scale transformative innovation and transforming businesses so to serve the common good, social justice and environmental sustainability while creating transformative growth.
He founded Blue Earth Network after a successful career creating and launching new brands for Grey, P&G and Coca-Cola across the world. He developed the launch strategies for Kinley and Sprite, which became the #1 and #2 brands for Coke in India. This led to a transfer to Coke’s global headquarters in Atlanta, where he eventually became the youngest Global General Manager of the Coca-Cola Nestle Refreshments Company, a joint venture between the world’s biggest beverage and food companies, respectively.

The meeting venue was at J W Marriott on Senapati Bapat Road, a location that brought back memories of college days to Mr. Jatar who also spoke about his important experiences as a student at SIBM Pune. Mr. Jatar interacted with the alumni team and delved into the importance of innovation and the role of innovation and organizational designs. He also discussed the various factors that differentiate successful brands from the not so successful ones. He shared his experiences as a Brand Manager and spoke of various challenges and learnings that have come his way in his illustrious career so far.
