Prof. Parimal Merchant, Director – Global FMB Program at S P Jain School of Global management was at SIBM Pune to deliver a guest lecture for the students of MBA (Innovation & Entrepreneurship) . The some students from sister institutes including SITM &SIMS,  who were interested in family business also attended the session.

Prof. Parimal spoke about various myths revolving around family businesses in India. Students were also given valuable inputs on business markets in South Korea, Indonesia, etc. Explaining the importance of an MBA in today’s dynamic environment, Mr. Parimal Merchant quoted, “MBA is not just about getting a degree but also more importantly about personality development”.

This session on family business management was very useful for the entrepreneurship students especially for those who are planning to join their own family businesses.
