Ankit Dhanuka, Sunny Shah, and Jaimini Purohitan are the SIBM, Pune alumni of Batch 2009-2011 who have co-found India Kala (www.indiakala.com ). They quit their corporate job to embark on their entrepreneurial journey of creating an online store for India’s finest handcrafted products. Their aim to ensure that India Kala becomes an extension of the artisan’s atelier, bringing all things handmade of the finest craftsmanship and quality to people across the world.
Post his MBA in Finance from SIBM, Pune, Ankit Dhanuka, joined Deutsche Bank from campus and was a senior analyst in their equity research team. He is India Kala’s number cruncher and like any other finance geek, he always has his eyes on budgets and return on investment. Sunny Shah completed his MBA in Marketing from SIBM, Pune and joined Capgemini as a senior analyst. His strong people’s skills keeps him busy with India Kala’s ever growing vendor base and products. After competing his MBA in HR from SIBM, Pune Jaimini Purohitan joined ITC Ltd and was in the Trade Marketing & Distribution division. He looks after India Kala’s marketing initiatives and online presence.
India Kala works with over 35 master artisans and bring their products to the doorsteps of customers across the country. India Kala works in a fair manner with artisans and to make their vision of making crafts of India accessible and an indispensable part Indian homes and also to homes across the world. Vaishnavi Nayel Talwadekar is the Blogger at India Kala. Vaishnavi is an alumnus of SIBM, Pune and recently quit her job to start her own blog company Mango Monk
