Symbiosis International University will set up its off campus centre on Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s 75 acre land at Wathoda in east Nagpur. SIBM , Nagpur  will most likely be operational by 2018 or 2019.

For the first time in the history 25% seats at SIBM Nagpur will be reserved for locals who will also get 15% concession in fees.The Campus will come up at the 75 acre land reserved for Skill Development University and Management Centre which has been given to Symbiosis at a nominal rent for 30 years which can be renewed.

The announcement was made at a press conference by Dr Vidya Yeravdekar Principal Director- Symbiosis on 05th Jan 2017.

Dr Rajini Gupte , Vice Chancellor – SIU,  Dr Rajiv Yeravdekar Dean Faculty of Health and Biomedical Sciences,  Dr. Bhama Venkatramani, Dean Academic and Administration, Dr R Raman Dean Faculty of Management, Dr Shashikala Gurpur, Dean Faculty of Law, and Prof. Vinay M. Mundada the Director SID were present for the press conference.

Nagpur Municipal Commissioner Shri Shravan Hardikar, who was also present in the press conference, said that Nagpur Municipal Corporation  has made available land for Symbiosis International University with the aim of expanding educational horizon and overall development of city.
