What an exciting graduation day ceremony it was for the passing out batch of the Post Graduate Diploma Program that Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune runs for #John #Deere….

The graduating students, ( if one may call them that … actually experienced and competent corporate professionals ! ) came with their families, their parents, their spouses, their children… and it was so heartwarming to hear about the support that the families extended to them during the 2 year program… it is not easy to have a family member so busy on all weekends for 2 years… in one case, both husband and wife were together in the program!

Also wonderful to have our own Vice Chancellor Dr Ramakrishnan Raman and Mr. Rajaram Rajamani, Global HR Director for John Deere with us… their presence made it truly special, as did their addresses.. am sure all the students took away a lot… our sincere thanks to both of them, and also to the entire HR team that attended as well…

I think this is what has been the strength of SIBM Pune all these years, contributing to the building of capability for businesses, through people… and this year has been exceptional for us… from corporate interventions to training for #UPSC cadre civil servants, from empanelment with the #DOPT, GOI, to research for the #PMIS, from new initiatives with the private sector as well as the #NFCG, from recommencing programs with old clients to acquisition of new, so much has happened on the corporate and Government front..

And on the academic front, outstanding performance in research and publications ( highest under the Faculty of Management, SYMBIOSIS INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY ), absolutely amazing Placements, new Value Added Courses and Masterclasses, outstanding number of applications for admissions, well above last year’s numbers, and the highest in #SIU under #SNAP, amazing corporate involvement in the teaching-learning process, big jump in #NIRF rankings to #13, and in almost all B school rankings, #NBA accreditation for the core program.. the list goes on and on…. SIBM Pune is indeed doing what a B School should be doing!

And one cannot forget that this would not have been possible without the support of our beloved Chancellor, #Dr #Mujumdar #Sir, our Pro Chancellor, Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar Mam and Vice Chancellor Dr Ramakrishnan Raman … and of course all our #SIBMAlumni, who have have supported us so magnificently… a big, big, thank you to all! SIBM Pune pledges to do even more in the coming year, and continue to deliver value to all our stakeholders, with the support and blessings of all!
