MBA(Innovation and Entrepreneurship) students of SIBM Pune at Bhutan

As a part of experiential learning initiatives at SIBM Pune, students of MBA(I&E) from SIBM Pune visited Gedu College of Business Studies, Bhutan . This was organized during Sep 2018

The visit was focused on research related to entrepreneurship ecosystem in Bhutan. Dr. Sonal Choiden, President of GCBS coducted workshop on Gross Natinal Happiness Index for SIBM students.
Students group along with Prof Yogesh Brahmankar and Prof. Dr. Madhura Bedarkar visited BAOWE, REDCL, Greener way, Thimpu Craft Market, at Thimphu to understand the various aspects of entrepreneurship in Bhutan.

GCBS also arranged Panel Discussion on ‘Challenges and Opportunities for Entrepreneurs: Scenario in India and Bhutan” where Mr. Karma Yenten, Greenerway and Mr. Sonam from i-Best gave their insights on the topic. The group also visited the first ever hydroelectric power plant in Bhutan at Chukha which houses 360mw power generation.

The group learnt the cultural values, alignment of value system with national initiatives during their interaction with students, faculty at GCBS and visit to various tourist places like Buddha Point, Tiger Nest, etc.
