Social, Entrepreneurship & Consulting Cell (SECC) of SIBM, Pune kick-started Entrepreneurship Summit 2018 amidst a great deal of enthusiasm. The summit was conducted for three days, from 3rd to 5th August 2018. The summit attracted participants from B-schools including IIM Rohtak, IMI Delhi, MDI Gurgaon, SIIB, Banasthali University, NMIMS, and DBE, DU. Day 1 had a plethora of events, including Jugaad – a product sales pitch competition (Winners -Team Explorers, SIBM, Pune & Runners Up-Team Bombay, SIBM, Pune), Runbhoomi – a strategy based virtual IPL auction (Winners -Team NM warriors – NMIMS & Team Jai Shree Ram – SIBM, Pune) and Merge it – a merger and acquisition based simulation competition (Winners Team Mindrover – SIIB, Pune & Runners-up Vanquishers – SIMSREE, Mumbai).
The second day started with Pride and Passion, an interactive session with established entrepreneurs which gave students the opportunity to learn from their experiences. Day 2 featured Udaan – where participants got an opportunity to be mentored and pitch their idea in front of an eminent panel of judges (Winners-Team Baron – SIBM, Pune & Runners Up-Team Spartans – SIIB, Pune), Mindspark and CaseLatte – Case study competitions, HReplica – a live business simulation competition (Winners- Team Maverick -SIBM, Pune & Runners Up- Team Renaissance, SIBM Pune) and Investor Speed Dating – a platform to pitch probable investors, acquire funding and get your start-up up and running. The day ended with Haat Nights – a cultural event providing the students of Symbiosis, a stage to display their singing and dancing talent.
The last day was dedicated to Conquest – a case study on a real-life problem of a company (Winners- Team Pitchers- SIBM, Pune & Team Broke Entities- SIMC, Pune), Prayas – a social case study (Winners-The New Monks- SIBM, Pune & Runners Up- Team Rationales- SIMSR, Mumbai) and SinOpsis, a case study pertaining to the problems faced in a supply chain. Also, Corporate Czar, the Business Quiz witnessed participation in big numbers (Winners-Team Gladiators-SIBM Pune & Runners Up-Team Unagi–SIBM Pune). All the events received participation in huge numbers and were thoroughly enjoyed the participants and viewers.
