What an amazing event we had today!
It gives me great pleasure to inform that GrandPitch Season 3, the marquee event of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, and our very own “Shark Tank”, was an outstanding success!
We had received over 150 entries, and after 6 screening rounds, 14 were shortlisted, who made their pitch today. It indeed feels great to inform that 5 start-ups received Rs. 22.50 crores in funding today, up from Rs. 5.70 crores last year, almost 4 times more!
Kudos to our InnovationCouncil, which worked tirelessly day and night for this, and also our faculty members who motivated and guided the students… special mention of Dr Ramakrishnan Raman who laid the foundation for this, in the last 2 years… now we will need to raise the bar higher next year!
I must also thank all the 9 investors who came today, and who patiently stayed till the end, not just stayed, but were fully involved right till the end! And of course all the 14 participants who participated, and made such wonderful pitches… all deserved to win actually! I am sure with the amazing experience that they had today, the investors will all be back next year… in line with SIBM Pune tradition, the next season will be even bigger!
