Symbiosis International University was always my first preference as a B-school choice and getting selected at SIBM Pune, one of the best B school in India was an amazing feeling. The day I entered SIBM Pune, I was awestruck by the beauty of the campus. The surrounding was soothing and serene for both mind and body.
At first, I was a bit skeptical about adjusting with new people since this was my first away from home. I didn’t know how to behave around people to fit in. But, eventually everything went smoothly. The Pre Induction module designed by the faculty was commendable. With bonding sessions it was easy to mingle with other people. There was a talent round planned for the third day of the induction for which we were divided in groups of 20, which really broke the ice. This gave us opportunity to interact with people other than whom we were already comfortable with. Then came the day of talent round which was full of music, dance, acting, singing. That showed the tremendous amount of talent that students of SIBM have and it was a wonderful experience being part of it. Next day we had alumnus meet which gave us some insight about various specializations and helped me make my mind to some extent. The talent round was followed by various seminars and then came the industrial visit where we learned about companies operational activities. Amid all this fun and frolic, there was a constant fear of the Pre Induction test which kept us awake till late in the night which gave us the first taste of life at a B-school. Then came the day of the test and it went smoothly. With this our Pre Induction journey ended and the best thing for me was the friendships I earned, which I hope to continue for the rest of my life.
And now we are all geared up for our upcoming journey at SIBM, with all our lectures, exams, internships and placements. This journey will prepare us to be future leaders and I hope everyone of us will have some sweet memories which we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
