On March 2nd 2015, my dream came true!!! I was ecstatic to study in one of the premier Business schools in India, the Flagship College of Symbiosis International University. Yes you’ve read it right, it is Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. Two weeks have passed by and I know that I am in the right place.
Even before joining, I came to know that we had to complete a list of Pre Induction modules. I was like, “What? so Soon!!”. But soon I realized that the Pre Induction modules were really informative and a brief look into what lies ahead for me at SIBM.
On June 2nd my dream came to life, my humble abode for next two years. I can describe the college infrastructure and amenities in one word, it is “Excellent”. Swimming pool, Gym with a personal trainer, Yoga classes and more.
The nostalgia of going back to college was lingering in my mind after having a good two and half years of work ex. Hurrah!!! No more bizarre shifts to work and No worries that the system might break down and create a havoc. The exhilarating feeling of becoming a student again was indescribable.
Being a South Indian and not understanding much of Hindi made me anxious of how well I will be able to mingle with the crowd. I felt that its gonna be like being in a Hindi movie and this time I won’t have subtitles to help me out. But the warmth and affable nature of people at SIBM removed all those worries. I was even beginning to learn Hindi faster and hopefully will become comfortable with it in the next 2 years. It was really exciting to interact with people from all over India and abroad.
The Ice breaking session, Talent rounds and Eduventure activities which were a part of our Induction program helped people to bond well. We learnt things, at the same time we made good friends and had a lot of fun. The speech given by our Chancellor Prof. Dr.S.B.Mujumdar, our Director Dr.R.Raman and all other dignitaries were really fruitful and inspirational.These are memories which would definitely be cherished.
And last but not the least, the scenic beauty around the campus, the mountain tops, rugged plains around the campus and the cloud formations on top of the mountains are mesmerizing. It is a beautiful sight every day and just gazing upon it makes your day.
With all that said, the next two years of my life will be the most unforgettable in my life. Cheers !!!
