The students of SIBM Pune had the opportunity to attend a session by Mr. Sujeet Kothare, Executive Vice President & Head Bancassurance & International business at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited.

Mr. Kothare introduced a concept called the optometrist approach wherein we add more layers to view a problem more closely and find impactful solutions. Mr. Kothare explained how his organization follows the optometrist approach for segmentation, targeting and positioning (STP) in its marketing strategies. It was indeed an enlightening session which helped the students understand the need for drawing parallels between classroom learnings and solving problems in real-life situations.
