SIBM Pune was honoured to host leaders and pioneers of the industry, academia and research for the annual Economic Conclave conducted by the Research and Scholastic Development Team. The theme of the Economic Conclave 2019 was “The Roadmap to India’s 5 Trillion Dollar Dream”. The event commenced with the keynote address by Rajiv Batra, Chief Financial Officer, Cummins India. Mr. Batra shared his insights on the probable headwinds that could delay the growth of GDP to 5 trillion dollar mark by 2025.

The floor was then opened for the panel discussion which was moderated by Dr. Santosh Gopalkrishnan, PhD, Faculty, SIBM Pune. The esteemed panellists comprised of Mr. Batra, Dr. Nirakar Pradhan PhD, CFA, FRM, Director & APAC Representative,  PRMIA, Mr. Hari Hara Mishra, UV ARC Limited and Mr. Bipin K. Deokar, Senior Deputy Director, Economic and Political Weekly Research Foundation. The panelists shared their profound knowledge on issues pertaining to necessary governmental structural reforms, the urgency of credit pickup and how global events impacted the roadmap that is to be laid out.
