The students of MBA-Innovation & Entrepreneurship had the privilege of welcoming Dr. Govind S Iyer, Hershel Anderson Endowed Professor from the University of North Texas to SIBM, Pune. Dr. Iyer conducted an informative and engaging session on ‘Trends in Innovation in the US & Global Markets’.

Dr. Iyer shared his insights on the unexplored FinTech sector in India, which according to him has immense opportunities for innovation. He discussed the increasing role of robo advisors who are slowly digitizing the banking sector in various countries.  He cited various examples to elaborate the differences between the traditional and modern banking models. Dr. Iyer also discussed the various areas of opportunities for innovation in different sectors in the Global scale.
