Jayne Godfrey – Dean, University of Auckland Business School at University of Auckland visited SIBM Pune. She addressed the faculty members and gave ecellent insights which can help their research journey.

Auckland Business School at University of Aucklad -UABS is a Triple-Crown accredited Business School (AACSB International, EFMD-EQUIS and AMBA). They are also the highest ranked University in New Zealand (ranked #83 in the 2020 QS World University Rankings), which reflects the stand of the University.

Jayne’s prior roles include Dean of the College of Business and Economics at the Australian National University, President of Academic Board at Monash University, and a range of directorships and consultancies.

Jayne was awarded the Australian Centenary Medal for service to Australian society through business leadership, Life Membership of AFAANZ for service to the academic accounting profession, and the AFAANZ Award for Outstanding Contributions to Accounting and Finance Practice. A former Telstra Businesswoman of the Year, she has also been a Trustee of the Committee of Economic Development of Australia and held board directorships including a GBE with assets of $6.7b.

Jayne served extended terms on both the Australian Accounting Standards Board and Australian Water Accounting Standards Board, provided legal expert opinion in relation to financial reporting matters, and her research directly informs several countries’ accounting standards.
