Mr Rakesh Nair , a Corporate Trainer at BSE Institute Ltd  delivered a guest lecture at SIBM on Capital markets and its operations .

Mr Rakesh Nair  is a full time trader having more than a decades experience  in the Indian capital market including close to 3 years as Head of Research with a middle eastern broking company based out of Cochin, India. Presently, he trades actively in equity derivative segment and also is an advisor for some personal clients in areas of financial planning and wealth management . He takes immense interest in sharing his experience and knowledge with those interested in pursuing a career in the capital markets.

Mr Nair shared some informative insights about the Indian and global markets. Aspects such as clearing operations, online trading, margins, settlements, derivatives futures and options, currencies, risk and volatility were covered in his session. He also spoke on fundamental aspects of capital markets. Students were hooked on to the session as the interaction had a lot of information and a little humor in the correct proportions !

The session concluded with questions from students which were promptly answer by Mr .Nair.
