It was the big day. India vs Pakistan, Cricket World Cup 2015, Adelaide. India won the toss and decided to bat.Virat Kohli was on fire. However, the euphoria of India Vs Pakistan match couldn’t match my excitement and nervousness to be present for GE/PI/WAT interview on the same day at SIBM , Pune. The process went smoothly and I was impressed with the way Aspirants Relations Team (ART, SIBM) conducted the entire process, comforting the nerves I had before the process began. After the process, I got ample time to take a look around the campus as my flight got delayed. From the scenic sunset to the wonderful stadium against the backdrop of beautiful hills, it left an indelible mark in my mind and I wished to a part of this experience for my next 2 years.
It’s been a fortnight since I joined SIBM and I am in still in awe of this place. The monsoon has arrived and it has heightened the beauty of the campus to the next level. The pre-induction process has been a wonderful experience to bond with others and make new friends. The plethora of activities included a talent show, meeting with alumni, guest lectures from eminent people in the industry, an industrial visit and numerous other ice breaking sessions.
The faculty at SIBM consists of a blend of corporate and academic expertise. The classes have been quite interactive and they really challenge you to go beyond the limits of theoretical knowledge and apply your knowledge in a practical way. Moreover, the state-of-the-art sports infrastructure available at SIBM really does emphasise the fact that SIBM focuses on the all round development of the students here. It’s been quite an enriching experience so far and it has reaffirmed my decision to put my faith in one of the best B-schools in the country.
